Stony Hill School, built in 1956 was renovated and reopened to the district in 1999 for grades two through six. The building presently has 16 regular education classrooms, one special education resource room, a combined music/art room, a library, gymnasium and cafetorium. There is a science specialist who goes from room to room to supplement to the regular science curriculum. Alaptop computer lab is housed in the library. Each classroom is equipped with four student computers and one for teacher use, all accessible to the internet. Stony Hill has 338 students, with a part-time student adjustment counselor.

The academic program at Stony Hill is similar to that of Memorial and Soule Road Schools. Opportunities are available for enrichment through a PTO-sponsored Enrichment Program which runs for six weeks in January and February. After-school or before-school help is available. To supplement district programs, Stony Hill offers Accelerated Reader and Accelerated Math to all grade levels.

Stony Hill enjoys the involvement of an active PTO and School Council, which meet monthly to provide support to the entire educational community and help implement the School Improvement Plan.
