Subject: Death Investigation – January 9, 2009
On Friday January 9, 2009 at 11:10 AM the Wilbraham Central Dispatch Center received a 911 call from 4 Catherine Circle reporting an unresponsive subject. Wilbraham Police and Fire Departments responded. The subject was transported to Bay State Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation found that Christopher J. Burnham, age 20, of Wilbraham was an overnight house guest at 4 Catherine Circle. Shortly before 11:10 AM another house guest found him to be unresponsive and called 911. Investigation of the scene did not allow for a determination of the factors that caused the death.
The investigation is being conducted by the Wilbraham Police Department and Massachusetts State Police personnel assigned to the Hampden County CPAC Unit.
The investigation has continued with notice to the family and the Office of the Medical Examiner.
On Saturday January 10, 2009 the initial autopsy conducted by Dr. Richmond did not allow for a conclusion as to the cause of death. The investigation is being continued.
