BLANDFORD’S 5 WEEK SKI & RIDE PROGRAM
THE SPRINGFIELD SKI CLUB at the BLANDFORD SKI AREA is providing a Friday Night Ski & Ride Program open to Wilbraham Middle School students for the 2010 season.
- Registration packets will be available online by clicking the above Pdf form or for pick up only at the Wilbraham Parks & Recreation Department beginning November 3.
- To register you must return the completed registration packet and payment to the Parks & Recreation Department between November 17 –25 or until program fills.
The program will run for five weeks, from January 8 through February 5, 2010. The ski area offers four lighted slopes, one half pipe, the lodge, and area ticket for 3½ hours, including the required one hour lesson and open skiing or snowboarding. Rental packages are available for those who need them.
There is a limit of 50 students and 5 chaperones. The bus must have a minimum of 40 participants to run. There will be one bus only. This very popular program is filled on a first-come basis.
The bus will leave WMS promptly at 2:30PM by charter transportation. The bus will arrive back at WMS for pickup at 10:00PM.
Each program evening, there will be two possible instruction times: Session I for lessons is 5:00-6:00PM. Session II for lessons is 6:00-7:00PM. Anyone renting equipment should arrive at the area at least 45 minutes before the appropriate session time in order to obtain his/her skis or snowboard. Students should report to the lesson area, with their equipment 15 minutes prior to the lesson time. Lesson times may not be changed.
